The Human Factor Fresk

Collaborative workshop to create sustainable change.

Industry: NGO, retail, entrepreneurs

Scope: Teams, leaders, individuals

Context

The workshop was implemented across several organizations facing the need for change.

While strategic intentions were clear, certain everyday behaviours indicated that the transformation was not yet fully supported at operational level.

Some of the behaviours addressed: limited collective solidarity, emotional fatigue linked to sustained change efforts, a tendency to postpone certain decisions or actions in the face of uncertainty.

In this contexts, creating a shared understanding of the human dynamics involved in transformation emerged as an important step to support sustainable change.

The Challenge

The objective was to raise awareness of the human factors underlying change and to initiate collective ownership of the transformation process.

Key focus areas included:

  • Developing a shared understanding of behavioural, emotional, and cognitive dynamics related to change

  • Supporting collective engagement and cooperation

  • Linking human dynamics to sustainable performance

My Role

As facilitator, I led a collective intervention focused on creating awareness, reflection, and dialogue around the human dimensions of change.

My role was to guide participants through a structured exploration of individual and collective dynamics, fostering shared responsibility for the transformation journey.

Approach

The intervention was built around a facilitated Human Factor Fresco workshop and included:

  • Collective reflection on behaviours, emotions, and biases in times of change

  • Guided exploration of the links between human factors and sustainable performance

  • Structured dialogue to support collective insight and shared understanding

The approach encouraged active participation and collective sense-making.

Impact

The workshop contributed to:

  • A shared understanding of change dynamics across participants

  • Increased engagement and cooperation

  • The emergence of a first concrete action plan supporting durable behavioural change

Key Takeaway

This project illustrates how structured collective reflection on human dynamics can support engagement, cooperation, and sustainable performance during periods of change.
