Ways to strengthen executive team cohesion and build a shared strategic vision.

Industry: Retail
Scope: Executive team
Context
The organization was navigating a phase of organizational and managerial evolution, marked by the arrival of new members within both the board and the executive management team.
As leadership dynamics evolved, new interaction patterns emerged. While communication appeared functional, certain day-to-day dynamics had not yet been fully aligned, creating an opportunity to strengthen cohesion and collective effectiveness.
In this context, reinforcing shared ways of working became important to support collaboration and overall performance.
The challenge
The objective was to strengthen executive team cohesion and build a shared strategic vision, while supporting effective cooperation in a demanding environment.
Key focus areas included:
Enhancing alignment within the executive team
Supporting cooperation to reinforce collective effectiveness
Maintaining constructive communication and trust under pressure
My role
As coach and facilitator, I designed and led a tailored collective intervention focused on supporting communication, alignment, and cooperation within the executive team.
My role was to provide a structured and safe space for dialogue, reflection, and co-construction, enabling leaders to clarify expectations and strengthen the way they worked together.
Approach
The intervention followed a facilitated and collaborative approach, including:
Workshops aimed at enhancing communication quality and mutual understanding
Visualisation of the evolving organizational ecosystem in which the team was operating
Clarification of expectations and leadership dynamics
Co-construction of a common vision and shared ways of working
The process was grounded in the team’s operational reality and day-to-day context.
Impact
The engagement contributed to:
The establishment of a shared space to address complex or sensitive topics constructively
Strengthened trust and cooperation within the executive team
Increased clarity around collective direction and shared strategic priorities
Key takeaway
This project illustrates how structured collective work can support executive teams in strengthening cohesion, cooperation, and shared direction during periods of organizational evolution.
